Today we wish all teachers around the nation a Happy World Teachers’ Day. We salute each and every teacher for their dedication, commitment, kindness in shaping the character and future of many children. Today, all teachers deserve the highest level of respect and honour.
In celebration of this day, The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation including The International Labour Organisation and Education International released a joint statement stating, “Today, on World Teachers’ Day, we celebrate the critical role of teachers in transforming learners’ potential by ensuring they have the tools they need to take responsibility for themselves, for others and for the planet. We call on countries to ensure that teachers are trusted and recognised as knowledge producers, reflective practitioners, and policy partners.”
Not only have they taught many students the curriculum but many of them have served as second parents. They didn’t just push students to learn and excel academically but they have also inspired many of these students to become good people and an influence to everyone.
In celebration of this day, teachers across the world have taken to twitter to post their pictures on duty captioned “Happy Teachers Day.”
