Major sponsor pulls out of music awards after Brickz’s performance

A recent performance at the Kwaito and House Awards nominees party on Friday left the public fuming with organisers finding themselves red-faced after TransAfrica Radio, believed to be a major sponsor for the awards, pulled out.

According to Tshisa Live, organisers of the event have claimed that Brickz owes them money for ditching them last year, with the star saying his bail conditions did not prohibit him from performing.

The star was sentenced to 15 years in prison last year for the rape of his teenage niece and has been out on bail since April.

TransAfrica Radio co-founder took to twitter to explain their decision.

Unfortunately the organizers have through their PR practitioner informed us that Bricks stays. We have subsequently informed them that @TransAfrica872 can no longer be their partner. https://t.co/q6UrFSufff
