Creamy spinach and bacon

creamy spinach and bacon

Make the best creamed spinach with this great creamy spinach and bacon dish by Ntwenhle Gcabashe

Prep: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 20 minutes

Serves: 4–5

  • 3 handfuls spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped bacon
  • 1 spring onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 cups (500ml) cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper
  • Pine nut, for serving
  • Parmesan shavings, for serving

Bacon and feta salad 

  1. Fry bacon in a large pan. Add onion, garlic, paprika and spinach. Cook until wilted.
  2. Add cream and cheese. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until thickened.
  3. Serve with pine nut and Parmesan shavings.
