This emotive book explores the destinies of twins that were separated at birth with one child growing up in South Africa and the other in Uganda. The build up to when they finally meet each other for the first time, kept me reading until the end.
Reclaiming the soil by Rosie Motene
I loved that this book made see the world through the eyes of Rosie, a young black girl that was raised by a white Jewish family. It also dives into the complex relationship that she had with her African identity and her self-discovery journey.

In this inspirational self-help book, the authors open up about how they managed to overcome challenges that were hindering their growth. I loved that there are sections for the reader to add their personal notes as they embark on a journey to meet their power within.
