Cleaning the kitchen means more than washing the dishes, sweeping and mopping. You have to clean the fridge, the wall tiles and wipe cupboard shelves and the outside amongst other things

According to the experts at Apartment therapy, the kitchen is the center of your home therefore you should always maintain deep cleaning.

Below are ways to properly clean your kitchen:

Cleaning your cupboards

Use the system of cleaning from top to bottom, using fresh cleaning products that can last a week because you can only maintain deep cleaning at least once a week.

Cleaning small appliances

Sometimes you forget that appliances for example, you need to clean the residue from inside your kettle and clean the toaster by emptying up old breadcrumbs. It is also suggested to steam your oven or microwave with vinegar.

Top counter containers

They are often forgotten most times, add them to your routine by emptying up all of them, washing them up and using them again. Make sure your counters are not crowded so take what you don’t frequently use and put it inside the cupboard.

Giving your sink a thorough wash

Besides cleaning your sink after washing the dishes, you can sometimes soak it in hot water and bleach so that it stays germ free and clean.

Cleaning your fridge

At least once a week take out everything from your fridge, that way you’ll see what needs to be thrown away and what needs to be kept. Before returning everything to the fridge clean it with a nice gentle soap that can add a fresh smell.
