The Wild Coast Sun in Port Edward, KwaZulu Natal, has opened South Africa’s first indoor skypark.

The Wild Coast Sun is found on one of the most unspoiled beaches in southern Africa. This resort attracts visitors for both its natural beauty and its other attractions.

This resort is the go to holiday destination which will leave the whole family entertained, relaxed and rejuvenated.

It is situated within the Eastern Cape, just one kilometre from the Kwa-Zulu Natal border. The resort is set on 750 hectares of natural bush between the Umtamvuna and Mzamba rivers overlooking the Indian Ocean.

This first star resort has introduced new entertainment activities for the whole family to enjoy  such as the first indoor skypark in the country which is now open just in time for the holiday season.

The skypark, which up to 30 people can use at a time, is 18 metres high, has 21 rope obstacles on a skytrail and a built-in zipline skyrail.

According to Wild Coast Sun’s General Manager, Peter Tshidi, “Covid-19 is a distant memory as the Resort is seeing a better demand than 2019’s same peak period. Wild Coast Sun was already fully booked by October for the festive season, with a maximum capacity from 16 December 2022 to mid-January 2023.”

Magic Company regional manager for Natal, Kim Sismey, said:

“Used by some of the world’s top family entertainment centres and cruise lines, the skypark has world-class safety features.”

The company has also boosted employment in the area by hiring eight permanent and four casual staff to operate the skypark. Forty-five extra games have also been added in the area under the skypark.
