Go Short Or Go Home

by Keletso Modisakeng

There’s no better way to welcome the warm season than a fresh new look. A new season, new hair and new you is what short hair says about you.

The scissors are out again and more of our favourite it girls have cut their hair.

Minnie Dlamini

Minnie-Dlamini-

When a girl is young she dreams of being a princess, and when she is a young adult she dreams of having her hair done by Ursula Stephens. We are envious of Minnie, who had her pixie cut done by Ursula – one of the leading hairstylists internationally. Ursula has styled Rihanna, Kerry Washington and Rita Ora, to name but a few.

Lerato Kganyago

A major transformation is when Lerato, who has shown us all shapes, sizes and styles of long weaves, went short. The edgy curls are a great hit as they allow you to style, comb and change your hair to suit any occasion.

Pearl Modiadie

Pearl-Modiadie-

The Real Black Pearl as she calls herself has become one of our favourite IT girls. She went from being a regular Jane from next door to someone a lot of young ladies look up to. We love Pearl’s short hair, with a side parting that allows for a fringe or isometric haircut.

Uyanda Mbuli

Uyanda-Mbuli-

The style icon and owner of Diamond Face Couture did a 360-degree turn and went short – very short indeed – with a side line for detail. We love bold and beautiful women.
