We’re sure you have seen one of these as you were mindlessly scrolling through your social media feeds and were left with a mouth watering taste in your mouth. Charcuterie boards have become increasingly popular and they sure do deserve the spotlight.

A charcuterie board is a type of appetizer that is often served on a wooden board or stone slab and eaten either directly off the board or with portions placed on tableware. Along with cheeses, crackers or bread, it includes a variety of preserved dishes, particularly cured meats.

A stunning charcuterie board makes a statement and saves time because it  involves little to no cooking. You don’t need to be an experienced food stylist, and it only takes a few minutes to put it together. According to The Food network, a charcuterie board can be left out for snacking for up to two hours. Additionally, you can prepare it ahead of time and store it in your refrigerator until just before serving.

Unlike many other recipes, the secret to a great charcuterie board is doing what you want! Pick what you love to eat and what you believe your guests will enjoy. There is no wrong way to do it. However, if you require some assistance, this how-to is for you.

Here is what you’ll need:

  • Cured meats
  • Various cheeses – Nice cheeses and meats are generally on the pricier side. With that said, it feeds A LOT of people.
  • Olives and Nuts
  • Fresh Fruit
  • Dried Fruits
  • Crackers or small slices of bread
  • Jelly or Jam

The placing on the board is entirely up to you, as mentioned, there are no rules. Just make it pretty, the prettier it is the quicker your guests will devour it.
