Watch: Babes reveals a love sign that appeared after Mampintsha’s funeral

by Bongiwe Mati

Singer and West Ink record label co-owner Bongekile “Babes Wodumo” Simelani took to her TikTok to share what many saw as a love sign from her late husband Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo.

The mother of one shared a video a heart shaped whole in her driveway and mentioned that it started showing just after Mampintsha’s funeral.

“Guys do you know what happened? After umngcwabo ka baby (baby’s funeral) this happened. Ngala ku driveway, ngicela niyibukeni lento iyini (here on the driveway, please check to see what it is?). So, mele ngiwuvale lo mgodi but hlezi kunalento ithi No, hay le, yhini bafethu ngicela ningitsheleni (I’m supposed to close this whole but there’s something that keeps saying No, what is this guys please tell me).”

Babes lost her husband Mampintsha in December 2022 after a short illness. She has since been very scarce on social media, randomly posting a few videos from time to time.’
