Vuyo Dabula set to join ‘Uzalo’

South African Actor Vuyo Dabula is set to joins Uzalo.

The actor will appear in the soapie as Bentley Majozi, who is said to be troublesome TshisaLIVE reported.

The statement read as follows, which was seen by the above-mentioned publication “We couldn’t be more thrilled with the exceptional talents we have welcomed to our Uzalo/ SABC1 family.”

“We are excited about the incredible journeys their characters will embark upon. The introduction of these new characters is a testament to our commitment to storytelling excellence.”

In an interview with City Press Vuyo said the Uzalo cast members were welcoming and supportive.

“Incredibly generous cast, and easy people to work with. There must be something in the water because the whole production team has a great vibe, very welcoming and deeply supportive. Another thing about work is the level of professionalism and understanding of the craft – of storytelling – in all aspects of filmmaking,” he said while speaking to City Press.

The actor also revealed to City Press the reason for his screen break.

“I was pretty much forced to take a break because I sustained injuries in a near-death situation. I could not physically do much.”

He added: “I don’t talk much about personal things.”

The SABC network took to their social media saying:

“Ladies and gents, please welcome @VuyoDabula to the most-watched soapie in South Africa, #Uzalo. He joins @Uzalo_SABC1 as Bentley Majozi. Be on the lookout for him in October.”
