Twitter reacts to AKA’s fans visiting his grave

For many, it still feels surreal that rapper AKA is no more us after he was tragically killed in Durban just last month.

His fans have paid their respects to the rapper by visiting his grave site, but many feel that the posting of pictures to social media lacks taste and is disrespectful to him and his family.

AKA was laid to rest at Heroes Acre in Westpark Cemetery and many fans have taken the opportunity to come and visit his gravesite. However, it appears that the site has become a tourist attraction more so than a place to pay tribute, with fans enjoying that they can take pictures there and post  to social media.

Some, however, could not decide whether it was disrespectful or not to be visiting the gravesite of someone that was not their family member and communicated that the gravesite was a sacred place.

“I really don’t know how to feel about this hey, this is the fourth tiktok I’ve seen this week. Forbes fam should have gone for a private cemetery,” one tweet said.

Another posted: “AKA’s grave site has become a sightseeing attraction”.

“I love AKA but visiting his grave is just weird,” said another tweet.
