by Ncumisa Lerato Kunana

Twitter went ablaze when TV commentator Phil Mphela announced the return of Connie Ferguson and Rapulana Seiphemo on Generations The Legacy.

The pair will return as Karabo Moroka and Tau Mogale in the SABC1 soapie for a few episodes as guest stars. In 2014 producer Mfundi Vundla fired 16 cast members from Generations. The show came to a halt as it was being revamped and came back as Generations: The Legacy. This will be their second return to the show as they were part of the initial reboot.

Twitter wasn’t happy with the decision as many feel they have run out of storylines and lack creativity by bringing back the show veterans. Many see this as a cry for help and to increase their ratings.

Here is what tweeps had to say.

I last watched Generations in 2010 or something but I know these two should let it go…. or Mvundla should release them from those shackles… infact end the soapie yhu

They might as well bring back the old cast

Sello-Maake ksNcube also chimed in when a tweep suggested they bring back his old character, Karabo Moroka’s brother, Archie Moroka.

exactly what I’ve saying lately, If I was Mfundi I would also call Sello Maake for a few episodes for that Archie role.

I love this conversation, so they will have to bring Archie back from the dead aneh. He can come back as a ghost. ?????
