Shauwn Mkhize has recently put to rest false claims that she did not pay her soccer team Royal AM.

This comes after a tabloid publication alleged that the club was struggling to pay its players their outstanding fees from February this year. The publication further alleged that the players refused to attend a training session on Wednesday, due to the non-payment of their sign-on fees.

The club was founded in 2020 by Shauwn and her son Andile Mpisane, who is said to be the youngest chairperson in PSL history.

The author and entrepreneur took to Instagram to set the record straight. In her statement, she wrote, “I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the recent publication regarding my team’s salary payments. The article… falsely claimed that I did not pay my players’ salary for three months which is categorically incorrect.”

She added that she ensures that all her employees are paid their due compensation within the stipulated timeframe.

The media personality then took a jab at the publication, saying that the irresponsible reporting misled the audience and showed a lack of credible and ethical journalism standards.

In the post’s caption, Shauwn wrote, “Just another day in the mess that is our ‘so-called’ journalism industry. Instead of an apology, all you get is silence ………… or matter resolved.? ??.” She continued, “Journalist/Media, if you dont have any stories, I urge you to buy my book, ????????: ?? ????? ?? ?????, there is plenty of factually correct information in there. I promise!????.”
