The first snowfall in more than ten years shocked Johannesburg residents on Monday, with some children experiencing snow for the first time.

Johannesburg last saw snow in August 2012, but other parts of South Africa frequently get snow throughout the southern hemisphere during the winter months of June to August.

Many of Mzansi’s celebs were overjoyed to see the snow that hit the City of Gold on Monday.

Some of these celebs included Tamaryn Green-Nxumalo, Thembi Seete, Naked DJ, Lady Du, and Unathi, who shared videos and photos revealing their excitement.

Thembi even jumped on the Mnike song while out in the snow.

See the videos below:

The actress who was also on set for Gomora captioned her post: “It’s cold but beautiful ?? and you are never too old to play in the snow ?️.”
