Rapper Rouge and Ginger Mac are ready to tie the knot!

The couple started out as friends back at university and when they decided to date, they knew that there was no turning back.

According to ZiMoja, The Grammy-winning rapper and Ginger Mac posted a video of themselves being baptised in a pool together. Later on in the video, he pops the question while kneeling down. Rouge and Ginger Mac have been together for nine years and have developed a deeper connection. Rouge previously discussed the value of teaming up with someone who entered the music business at the same time as her in an interview.”We have been best friends for years. So, working together was a seamless transition that happened naturally,” she says. “He is someone who genuinely cares for me and my career. We have been on this journey together since my career started.” Ginger Mac is Rouge’s first boyfriend. “I have never been with anyone else. This is my first relationship.”

Excited, Rouge took to social media to express her joy.“I am engaged! God’s timing is perfect timing. I will be doing forever with my best friend,” she wrote.

The couple are expected to exchange vows in November this year, according to Shwashwi.

Rouge, who was born in South Africa, is proud of her Congolese heritage. Before her music career took off, the Mboko Zaka singer came from a family of entrepreneurs. With her musical fame, she has made investments in real estate, stocks, and endorsement deals. Sizwe “Reason” Moeketsi’s booking earned her, her first pay-check from the music industry, which was for R2,000.
