RHOC’s Thato scolded for exposing kids to alcohol

Thato Montse, RHOC’s season 1 star, left her followers shocked when she posted a video at a primary school holding bottles of her Thato wines with kids around.

Thato shone as the only star in what people called the worst Real Housewives project in the country.

Many viewers seemed to find more to complain about in the RHOC season 1 project but were drown to Thato’s authenticity and relatability. Her carefree, easy-going personality and of course love of her wine trended each week when the show aired.

On the post, Thato shared her excitement on being invited by the Department of Education to mentor and empower youngsters at a primary school.

She captioned her post, “Thank you to the department of education for inviting me into the classroom, to motivate, empower and inspire the next generation @ st James primarily and share my fascinating experience and story, dream big #winelife #winelovers #winelifestyle #winetasting #winetime #winewinewine #wineoclock.”

Her followers however were not impressed at all by her post.

Commenters were shocked at how she was parading alcohol in front of young kids.

One user wrote, “Advertising alcohol to minors is not it. I wonder if this would happen in a school with different fermi graphics. Highly inappropriate.”

“Wine and the school minors awuphambani (are you not mad)?”

One unimpressed commenter wrote, “This is the most inappropriate video I’ve ever seen in the history of my life. You basically promoting your wine at a primary school. The principal and teachers allowed you, parents of the kids are okay with that, your crews sees nothing wrong…. This is disturbing and disguising. @panyaza_lesufi @julius.malema @cyrilramaphosa please intervene ….”

Some users tried to defend the star, “To teach black children about the wine industry, I see nothing wrong with that.”
