Rema to perform in SA

The Hey Neighbour Festival has added another global superstar to its list of performers, and it is none other than award-winning Nigerian artist Rema.

Known for his hit song Calm Down (which also features award-winning songstress Selena Gomez), Rema is set to headline on the second day of the festival – Saturday, 9 December – alongside rap superstar Kendrick Lamar at the Legends Adventure Farm in Pretoria. Headlining the first day (Friday, 8 December) and third day (Sunday, 10 December) is Khalid and The Chainsmokers, and Swedish House Mafia and H.E.R., respectively.

Radio host Thando Thabethe made the announcement on 947’s Drive with Thando. News of Rema’s participation was also shared at the festival’s media day.

Although international stars will be headlining the shows, local artists will also be showing festival goers a good time.

Nasty C, Uncle Waffles, Tyla, GoodLuck, Young Stunna, Black Motion, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Real Dan Duminy, Max Hurrel, Youngsta CPT, Majozi, DJ Zinhle, Tyler ICU, and Jeremy Loops will perform on Day 1.

On Day 2, fans can enjoy the sounds of Scorpion Kings (DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small), Zakes Bantwini, Shimza, Blxckie, Jack Parow, Shekhinah, Anatii, Musa Keys, Focalistic, Desmond & The Tutus, Prime Circle, TxC, Sho Madjozi, and The Plastics.

While on Day 3, Francois Van Coke, DBN Gogo, Mi Casa, Elaine, Mafikizolo, Jamie-Lee Sexton, Kelvin Momo, Daliwonga, Monark, A-Reece, MÖRDA, and Uncle Parytime are set to perform.
