South African actress Nolwazi Shange Ngubeni is to exit the eTV’s award-winning soapie Scandal!

After the actresses last casting call, she expressed that being on the award-winning soapie has been a journey that has been one of the “greatest joys”.

According to TVSA reports, Petunia (Makhosazana Ndlovu) who plays Mbali Kubeka’s (Nolwazi Ngubeni) on-screen mother will kill her when she attempts to kill her sister Winnie (Fundiswa Ngcobo). The soapie’s Scandal! Fan-favourite character Jojo (Melusi Mbele) who was married to Mbali will cover the crime.

The actress revealed in an interview with Sunday World that she enjoyed playing a villain as she normally plays the ‘good guy’.

“Usually, I always get the sweeter roles, but I love playing the villain and being that person that perpetuates the drama throughout the soapie. It has been very exciting for me, especially coming back into the industry and playing roles that are completely different from what I am known for.”

“Being on Scandal! has been one of the greatest joys of my career. I truly appreciate the immense support the producers, cast, and crew have shown me. I walk away with fond memories as I prepare to take on the next phase of my journey. Thank you to all the viewers for watching and consistently supporting my work. Onwards and upwards,” said Nolwazi.

Apart from being an actress Nolwazi is also a casting director and producer, who became a household name in South African, when she was awarded a South African Film and Television Awards gong for her role in the 2008 production A Place Called Home, has earned her place on TV screens locally and abroad.
