TV host Phumeza Shoba, who recently reconnected with her biological father, shared with fans the importance of sincerely learning forgiveness.

During the last episode of season one of her show Abandoned (where Phumeza tries to reunite people with their long-lost or unknown parents), the actress is seen searching for her father, who unfortunately snubbed her after she reached out to him.

Luckily, things took a turn for the better after the two met up a few days ago. “Everything happens in its own time. Allow God’s plan to follow through. Yes, we missed out in this lifetime, but it is well?️,” shared Phumeza on Instagram.

In a separate Instagram post addressing the public, Phumeza shared, “I don’t know who needs to hear this but it’s just coming out of my finger tips as I type. Maybe also, I’m still coming out of the bubble of meeting with the man who was a part of bringing me here??‍♀️. May God always keep my heart as it is. May I never change because of what life throws at me. This is my prayer daily.”

Phumeza then stressed the importance of looking into one’s own heart and recognising whether or not the person themselves are the cause for other people’s pain. “It’s also important to learn to forgive sincerely. Let’s check in on ourselves with God and be honest with ourselves.”

She continued, “It hurts when one realises that hey, I’m actually the one who is the bad person here. But once you recognise it and accept it, forgive yourself and do better. If you can, apologise to the next person, even better. Trust me, you won’t lose an arm?And if someone apologises to you, be sincere and forgive and leave it in the past. Let’s work on ourselves to be better. No one is perfect. This way, even the next generation will be and do better.”
