Award-winning musician Bonginkosi Mahlangu, better known as Kid X, is set to host The Hanger on Trace Urban.

According to Kaya FM, the show that the rapper has been announced to host is described as a platform where it celebrates artistry and the work that goes on behind the scenes of some of SA’s favourite artists.

The 13-episode series will feature emerging artists on the amapiano scene such as, DJs, hip-hop and Afro soul artists.

Executive producer Mmathabo Tladi told the radio station the following:

“Our vision is to make sure our artists are captured in their best element and bring crisp, lively performances to the African continent and the world that audiences can enjoy from the comfort of their homes and mobile devices,” said Tladi.

“Trace is excited for this one-of-a-kind music show that brings South African music to the continent in a beautifully packaged format for our audiences to enjoy and appreciate the work that goes into creating your favourite hit songs,” Trace Southern and Lusophone Africa MD Valentine Gaudin-Muteba said while speaking to the radio station.

The rapper also took to his Instagram timeline to announce the exciting news to his fans.
