Cape Town rapper YoungstaCPT released a freestyle in honour of the late rapper, Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes.

The freestyle, titled Bok Freestyle, has YoungstaCPT (real name Riyadh Roberts) seeking justice for the rapper, who died via gunshot in February this year. Celebrity chef and author Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane was also killed in the tragedy that occurred in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

The beat of the freestyle is the same used in AKA’s Mbuzi Freestyle, which features Thato Saul.

The Wes-Kaap hitmaker posted on his social media accounts, “Everyone wanna be legends and GOATS but nobody’s ready to be sacrificial ?. BOK FREESTYLE out now!”

In the song, YoungstaCPT refers to AKA and his girlfriend, rapper Nadia Nakai, saying that they could have been the Carters (the successful couple Beyonce Knowles-Carter and Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter.)

He also rapped: “Three months later, police don’t give answers, referring to the lack of evidence provided in AKA’s murder investigation.”

He didn’t stop there:

“No disrespect to the friends and the family, I know that you mourning in private. If we were with Kiernan that night and they shoot him? I’m telling you now there is more of us dying!”

Many responded to the release of the freestyle. One Twitter user said, “It’s safe to say that Youngsta should have been on the Mbuzi Freestyle.”
