Gert-Johan Coetzee is no stranger to success, his talent has seen him work with top A-listers both locally and internationally.

Gert recently dressed Lerato Kganyago for the Metro FM Music Awards. Lerato looked stunning in many Gert ensembles as she hosted the award ceremony.

He has also dressed local stars such as Bonang Matheba, Nomcebo Zikode for her Grammy Awards look, Nomzamo Mbatha, Lira, Shudufhadzo Musida, and many more.

The talented designer, who has also ventured into a jewellery partnership with American Swiss, added singer and actor Chloe Bailey to his list of international stars he has worked with.

He posted on his social media, “Chloe Bailey attending The Little Mermaid Premiere (2023) wearing a Gert-Johan Coetzee dress.”

Many users congratulated him and wished him more success. Some, however, pointed out that Bonang Matheba also looked stunning in that same dress.

Gert has previously dressed international A-listers such as Cardi B, Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu, Lizzo and many others.

Many were happy for the designer, who seems to be breaking barriers and has the world eating out of his palm.

Speaking to Sowetan earlier this year, Gert spoke of his next project, adding, “This year my focus is to produce extremely well-made artisanal leather handbags made from materials such as Nile crocodile and ostrich skin, materials that are true to Africa.”
