Mzansi disappointed with DStv Delicious Fest

DStv Delicious Festival

Thousands of South Africans gathered this past weekend at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit and International Convention Centre for the DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival in Johannesburg. 

Though these music festival and food lovers were excited about finally coming together and celebrating international food.  The Headliners artist African Giant Burna Boy and local artists Simphiwe Dana and Msaki. Attendees said they were extremely frustrated and disappointed at the “overall planning” of the event. 

Attendees took to social media to complain about the under-planning of the event, the extremely long queues to go inside the event. Some noted the extremely long queues to go inside the event area. While others were contended with more queues inside the venue for purchasing of food, drinks and even using the restrooms. 

“I’m going home. What a horrible experience. They ran out of tags but you need it to get access to the VIP or even get food or drink. Have been standing in line almost all day. 0 out of 10” tweeted one attendee

After receiving many complaints from attendees through social media, the organising team sent out an apology on their social media platforms. “To all the patrons of Day 1 of the #DStvDeliciousFestival2022 whose experience was less than pleasant, we extend our sincerest apologies. We appreciate the opportunity to do better,” tweeted the festival Saturday.
