Cotton Fest is set to debut in Durban this July.

The festival is set to take place on July 2 from noon at the Kings Park Stadium Outer Field.

Cotton Fest celebrates South African talent by bringing together different artists which includes a lineup of local artists, musicians, rappers, and DJs.

It was founded by the late rapper Riky Rick, and the festival boasts three stages:

“The Cotton Stage featuring headline acts, the Bettr Stage dedicated to New Wave young talent, and the Jägermeister Stage promoting the best of house, electronic and Amapiano music,” reads The Cotton Fest website page.

According to News24 Riky Rick’s widow Bianca Naidoo told the publication that they are excited that Cotton Fest will be expanding in Durban.

“Durban has always been a city that openly embraces and supports music and youth culture. And we are thrilled to finally bring Cotton Fest home,” said Bianca Naidoo who is also the co-founder of Cotton Fest.

“It’s particularly special to the whole team and as always, we plan to bring together some of the biggest names from across country to not only create an unforgettable experience for the Durban family but celebrate how precious life is, ” she told the publication.

The official page of Cotton Fest also confirmed the debut of the Durban edition.

“Cotton eaters let’s do it like this! THE UNIVERSITY OF COTTONFEST, SPORTS CLUB is heading to the 031. Durban, let’s operate on the highest level.”
