Connie Ferguson says goodbye to ‘ The Queen’

Mzansi’s most loved telenovela, “The Queen” has come to an end. 

Actress and producer Connie Ferguson took to her social media to bid farewell to the cast of the hit show series which played on Mzansi Magic goodbye, after six successful seasons, ‘The Queen’ will premiere its finale seventh season in July 2022 and conclude on 13 January 2023,” the channel confirmed in a press release.

She captioned the post: 

“The Queen Cast and Crew I LOVE YOU.❤️ From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!?? FOR EVERYTHING!??” she wrote in her instagram post.

The actress has portrayed the character of Harriet Mathapelo Khoza since “The Queen” aired, and the powerful character soon found herself being one of Mzansi’s favourite villains.

There has been much speculation regarding the show’s return for a new season. However according to TshisaLIVE reports, the local south african TV channel Mzansi Magic announced that they have parted ways with The Queen, which is produced by the Ferguson Films. . 

According to TshisaLIVE, a statement was provided by the channel to TshisaLIVE which stated “revised to keep abreast with changing audience preference and the evolving competitors landscape.”

According to entertainment commentator Phil Mphela,  a new show called “Gqeberha The Empire” will be replacing “The Queen”.

After making the announcement many of her fans and celebrities prised Connie for her incurable work and achievement in the movie industry.
