Rapper Cassper Nyovest was spotted hanging out with businessman Edwin Sodi at Bobby Blanco’s birthday celebration.

Influencer Nadia Nakai, international Amapiano DJ DBN Gogo, Cassper Nyovest, and Edwin Sodi, to name a few, attended the star-studded event. Cassper posted an image of himself sitting down with Bobby Blanco, businessmen Jaji Abolore and Edwin on his Instagram. The rapper captioned the post: “The Billiato and some friends!!!! Ooh wait Xiba ngopfu!!!”

Although they were seen hanging out at a birthday celebration, it’s still quite surprising to see Cassper and Edwin chilling together.

Edwin Sodi was involved in the failed Rooiwal water treatment plant upgrade. The upgrade, according to The South African, reportedly played a role in the May 2023 cholera outbreak in Hammanskraal.

It is believed that the tycoon’s lawyers wrote to the City of Tshwane to argue against blacklisting Edwin’s company NJR because of its role in the failed water treatment plant upgrade.

Edwin blamed his deceased partner in the Rooiwal wastewater treatment project deal, according to Sowetan Live. He said that the company’s director’s dishonest behaviour was the reason the project’s completion failed.

The City awarded the businesses a R292 million tender in 2019 to upgrade the Rooiwaal wastewater treatment plant in order to improve the quality of the water in the Hammanskraal region.

More than 20 people died from cholera in May.

The contract was terminated in May 2022 and criminal charges were laid against the companies involved.
