Tributes pour in following Credo Mutwa's death

Sanusi, traditional healer and author Credo Vusamuzulu Mutwa has died at the age of 98. The Credo Mutwa foundation confirmed his passing. The foundation is yet to release a statement with more information.

Credo was popular for his predictions of historic events in the country, such as the 1976 Youth Uprising. He also wrote books based on African culture and folklore such as Indaba, My Children, Isilwane, The Animal and Zulu Shaman: Dreams, Prophecies, and Mysteries.

Local stars and ordinary South Africans have taken to social media to pay tribute to the star.

Tributes pour in following Credo Mutwa’s death. May his soul rest in peace.

Bab’ Vusamazulu Credo Mutwa ? I’m so touched, I knew this was coming soon as I heard he was sick. Thank you for everything, for being a guardian and keeper of ancient knowledge, for”indaba my children” and other books.
Ascend freely to be with the great spirit again.
Rest ❤️

“You are all the same. You make a lot of wonderful resolutions, you swear a lot of oaths to do this and not to do that. You bind yourselves without first studying your secret natures – without knowing yourselves first” – Credo Mutwa

Rest in peace.

Rest in Eternal Peace Credo Mutwa.
I first came across this giant figure as a twelve year old boy reading books, articles and journals. And I was captured since.
It is unfortunate that many never celebrated him while he was alive, others – went as a far as rejecting his work.
