Actress Pearl Thusi is set to star as the warrior princess in Scorpion King: Book of Souls. The actress has shared images of herself and co-star American actor Zach Mcgowan who’s popularly known for his role in American comedy-drama, Shameless.

The fifth instalment of the Scorpion King franchise is currently being shot in Cape Town and will be released on DVD in 2018.

Pearl and Zach spent time preparing to shoot the movie. The hiked up the mountains of Cape Town and took horse riding lessons.

Made it to the top of Lion’s Head yesterday. And as usual- something weird had to happen to me and it was on my first ever hike in Cape Town. The Protea- My late mother’s favourite flower was everywhere- that was really special. Can’t wait to do it again. ❤️????
