Award-winning singer and actress Mary J Blige has claimed her spot in the history books of the Oscars. Mary is the person to be nominated for a performance and original song in the same year, for the same movie. She received Oscar nominations for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Mudbound and Best Original Song for writing the song Mighty River for the movie.
These nominations add to the long list she’s received since award season began in December 2017, including two Golden Globes for the same categories.
