Common opens up his desire to be a husband

Common opened up about his desire to be a husband Jada Pinket Smith’s show, Red Table Talk. During the conversation, the star discussed how a slew of failed relationships, both romantic and familial, led him to therapy in order to become a better man. He also revealed that despite his success as a rapper and actor, he still wants to be a husband.

Common shared that although he was uncertain about marriage, this changed over time. He said in part: “I would like to be a husband. I think for a long time I was in and out with that. Do I really wanna be a husband or is this what society says to.”

“Now, I just think I want that partnership to be able to experience life where I’m like growing as a human being. And kind of like spark each other. It’s fun too. It’s fun at times. I know it’s hard.”

He also shared that his ideal woman saying in part; “I like a woman that definitely has spirituality. Fun. Sense of humour because I need that in my life.”
