Actress and media personality Thembisa Mdoda is back in full force after facing a huge Covid-19 health scare which lead to major complications.

“This year has been a testament to her fighting spirit,” she says.

While speaking to TshisaLIVE, the actress said that,“Doing something that you love and having to completely stop was heartbreaking for me. I needed to get my strength and my health back to come back and do the work that I have been destined to do,”she said.

Through her journey of healing she has learnt many lessons.

“This experience taught me that I am stronger than I thought, how incredibly important family is, and how to be bold and not doubt myself in the work that I do because this is a calling.”

She has had a successful year so far and still has plenty lined up, from producing opportunities for corporates, to MC gigs and TV shows as an actress and presenter.

“One thing that is said about the industry is that it’s very fickle, but I’ve received the utmost support from everybody. There is so much happening. I’m overwhelmed and incredibly blessed. I take everything as it comes day by day. I appreciate each opportunity that I have and just going home to my husband and children.”

Thembisa says her fans can expect to see her return to the small screen soon.

She’s expected to appear on Mzansi Magic’s Black Conversations , where she says fans will get to see her more opinionated side and will learn a lot more about her.

“I told myself that this year I’m going to say yes to everything that resonates with me, it doesn’t matter if I’m afraid of it, if it’s taboo or going to get people talking, I don’t have those fears any more, she said.
