According to documents that were produced by the court proved that Sophie and her company ,Sophie trading, were cited as the first respondent , who obtained a 2.2 million  home loan to purchase the house.

Sophie, was required to repay bond amount of R22 347 in monthly instalments for 240 months.

However, the former Generations actress failed to honour the contract and ended up in arrears that were over R80 000.

The bank sent several letters to Sophie with help of their lawyers, to inform Sophie  that she has breached her contract.

She still failed  to settle her arrears. The banking group then sent another letter  to formally inform her that they were cancelling their agreement with her.

With Sophie refusing to respond, the Mercantile Bank asked the court to grant them an order to sell the house so that they can recoup their funds.

The star has still not said anything but this morning she wrote  on her instagram story , ” Happy Friday, waesteba #Nothinglefttoloose? That’s me moving to my promiseland.”
