Somizi announces SAMA24 as his final time hosting the awards

Media personality Somizi has announced that the 2018 South African Music Awards (SAMAs) will be his last time hosting the show. The star shared on social media that this will be his third time hosting the awards and it’s time to bow out. He promised to do so in  spectacular fashion and we expect nothing less.

Somizi will take to the stage for the last time alongside Dineo Ranaka and Mpho Popps to host the awards this weekend.

We’re excited to see what he has in store for us.

This year is definitely my last time hosting. I did it the first time with @thando_thabethe second time with @tumi_morake both I had an awesome time and promised I’m done. So now for the third time in a row with @dineoranaka and @mphopopps I’m pulling all stops. I’m giving my all. I’m not holding back. I’m talking lights camera action. Hair changes. Make up art. No less than 7 outfit changes. All local designers. All shoes ? red bottoms. My hair for the opening alone will bring us land back. Like I always say “ TREAT EVERY GIG LIKE ITS YO FIRSTAND LAST” u will never go hungry. Kids learn. @thesamas_ I wanna HEMISA other kids next year neh but for this weekend askies
