Braised Savoy Cabbage And Carrot recipe

Say no to the same old coleslaw, get creative with cabbage and carrots

BRAISED SAVOY CABBAGE AND CARROT
Prep time: 20 mins
Total time: 20 mins
Serves: 5
Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups bacon, chopped
  • 1 kg carrots cut into thick strips
  • 4 cups (1 litre) chicken stock
  • 2-3 savoy cabbage, cut into wedges, attached to core
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, melt butter.
  2. Add bacon, cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add carrots and cabbage.
  4. Add stock, cover with lid and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Add seasoning and serve.
