The American Music Awards took place on Sunday night. Here’s who we spotted on the red carpet.
Tracee Ellis Ross
Tracee kept it simple and age-appropriate in an all black floor length dress. The pop of colour on the lip completed the look perfectly.
The Kardashians
The Kardashian girls looked flawless on the red carpet. Each of them owned their individual looks but we have to say Kylie Jenner was our favourite. The maroon silk dress was made for her and she pulled it off with style and grace.
Kandi Burruss
Kandi didn’t blow us away in this dress, it wasn’t entirely red carpet worthy and she could’ve put a bit more effort into the look as a whole. A bit of a lacklustre attempt on her part. Hopefully next time she will up the ante.
Rita Ora
Now this is how you make an entrance. Rita gets a round of applause and two thumbs for this Zac Posen dress. Everything about it was perfection and she did well to keep the rest of her look being hair, make up and accessories to a minimum.
Jennifer Lopez
We had so much faith that Jlo could do no wrong when it came to red carpet appearances and then this happened. The cut-out style of the dress was over the top and although we understand that she has an amazing body for a woman her age it would have been refreshing to see her in something less revealing for a change.
Jordin Sparks
Jordin stunned in metallic. The only thing we would’ve changed would be the hair. The dress was quite overpowering already so a simple hair-do like slicked back or a bun would’ve been more complimentary compared to the big hair.
Garcelle Beauvais
Garcelle looked elegant and feminine in red. The dress worked well for her body and in this instance the big hair perfectly balanced out the simple dress.
Zendaya Coleman
Zendaya is young, fresh and usually a fun fashionista to spot out and about but this ensemble fell flat. The suit was too overwhelming for her small frame. The outfit would’ve worked better if she lost the jacket and worn a simple crop top to balance out the pants.
