by Jade Rhode

Congratulations are in order to Sjava after he reached 1 million followers on Spotify.

Sjava is responsible for massive hits such as Umbayimbayi, Sayona, Abangani, and many more. He was even featured on the Black Panther soundtrack on the song Seasons with Reason.

Sjava’s record label 1020 Cartel took to their social media platforms to share the big achievement. “You did it you just hit 1,000,000 followers on Spotify,” they wrote, while also writing, “Keep on pushing… keep it moving.”

Sjava recently completed his Inkabi Zezwe tour with friend and fellow musician Big Zulu. The duo ended the nationwide tour in Durban on Sunday, 3 September at the HollywoodBets Kings Park Stadium.

Sjava is also getting ready for his one-man show dubbed ‘Sjava Live In…’ where he will be performing in Mpumalanga at the Mbombela Stadium on 9 December.

“It is really exciting to take the one-man show to a new audience this year. Mpumalanga has been a big supporter of my work over the last seven years and it is a privilege to be able to bring the show to them.”

Inviting others around the country to join in on the fun, Sjava added, “I think it is an opportunity for people who enjoy our music in other provinces to travel to Mbombela for the show and experience the beauty of that province.”
