Babes Wodumo shares a video amid sick speculations

Bongekile Simelane also known as Babes Wodumo has been a trending topic since it was alleged that she wasn’t well. The gqom singer and mother of one who also recently lost her husband singer Mandla Maphumulo known by many as Mampintsha, after he suffered a stroke.

Babes Wodumo’s absence on social media fueled allegations that she wasn’t well making a lot of her followers and fans worried about her.

The singer took to her Instagram to silence the rumors. Babes shared a video of herself in a car freestyling to a beat playing in the background.

The Ka Dazz hitmaker began her freestyle by saying, “udumo, udumo, wulona lolu, wudumo lolu, ukube ngangazi” (Fame! this is what fame is, if only I knew). She then went on to freestyle on the beat, adding Zulu lyrics translated as, “if I knew, if I was told, if I was called, if I was looking, if I could see, I would have refused fame.”

Many followers felt that the lyrics were a message of how the singer felt about fame.

Social media users commented:

“The world is asking so much from you? it’s okay not to be okay, it’s okay to loose. Please keep holding on sis sending love♥️.”

Actor and singer Simphiwe Ngema was among those commented, adding:

“The message in your lyrics sis.”

Babes responded adding:

“@simzngema ukube ngangazi ngemphela ngangeke ngivume” (If I really knew, I wouldn’t have agreed to it).

More shared:

“Please take care of yourself and especially your health that baby needs ❤️.”
