Congratulations to singer and TikTok influencer Khanyisa Jaceni who has been announced as Spotify’s Equal Africa ambassador for the month of July.

According to TshisaLIVE, Khanyisa joins South African singers Tyla, Sio and Elaine, all of who have headlined the programme which aims to shine a light on the voices of African female artists. The programme also seeks to break down barriers and make waves in music while exposing the artists’ catalogue to global listenership.

“What a time to be alive!” wrote Khanyisa on Instagram. Sharing the news, she continued, “So Spotify has chosen me as their #EQUALAfrica ambassador! What an honour as an AmaPiano artist I feel like I’m part of the movement where Piano is taken to the World!”

Previously speaking to BONA, the Zula Zula singer stated that performing in front of her family during family gatherings was some of her fondest childhood memories. “It’s like I always knew that I wanted to be a performer. I will always just be that kid, you know. Always bringing so much light and life into my family. I think I definitely live up to my name, which means ‘to light up.'”

The TikTok star lit up even more recently when she made her way to the car dealership to buy herself a brand-new Mercedes Benz.
