Dineo Ranaka had the whole country worried and praying for her yesterday when she posted a series of messages on her Instagram of how she was trying hard not to commit suicide.

The Kaya 959 breakfast show host and mother of three shared that life was hard and that she was trying her best but that too didn’t seem enough.

Her family, industry friends and employer radio station Kaya 959, all reached out sending their love and well wishes to the radio host and club DJ.

Kaya 959 also sent out a media statement that read, “Kaya 959 wishes Breakfast show host, Dineo Ranaka much strength as she finds her way through a difficult time.

“Dineo wasn’t on air this morning after openly sharing her struggles on social media.”

Kaya 959 MD, Colleen Louw added, “The Kaya 959 family is keeping Dineo in their hearts, and we wish her healing.

“We also ask for privacy as Dineo gets through this difficult time.”

Friends and followers sent messages of support, with Dineo’s sister commenting:

“??? Thank you for this. Means a lot to the family at large. We will also make sure she gets all the help she needs. Mom and @ziggy_ranaka are with her right now.”

Actor Manaka Ranaka, who is Dineo’s older sister, had also posted a video of Dineo with her family members on different occasions. The video which plays Hezekiah Walker and The Love Fellowship Choir’s I Need You To Survive in the background was captioned:

“Eish ngwana ko gae (my sister) Dineo ??? I will always be here for. On Sunday when I was missing Iko like I’ve never before, you are the only person that reached out.

“Today was the toughest day at work although we spoke for about an hour about what you’re going through ???.”

She also added, “I love you, I appreciate you, I’m here for you, I will go to the ends of the world for you, I pray for you, I phahla for you, I believe in you, I hear you, I see you.”
