Nadia on why she didn’t join the Forbes to receive AKA’s awards

by Unathi Balele

Late rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, better known as AKA, shined as the biggest winner at the 17th Metro FM Music Awards which took place at the Mbombela Stadium, Mpumalanga, on Saturday evening.

The rapper scored four wins at the Metro FM Music Awards 2023.

The late rapper’s girlfriend Nadia Nakai chose not to go upstage with the family to receive the late SupaMega’s awards. She took to social media to reveal why she didn’t join the Forbes family to pick up the late Kiernan AKA Forbes’ awards.

As seen in the trending videos from the evening, Kairo, Lynn and Tony Forbes were the only ones on stage to pick the four awards.

Nadia celebrated the wins on her Twitter account, which left to her followers asking a few questions about her absence on stage.

A fan questioned her about her absence on the MMA stage and she replied, “They did ask me to come, but I thought this moment should be just between them, and the Megacy. I’m there in spirit tho.  will be watching!”
