Generations: The Legacy actor Andile Nebulane was recently accused by a Twitter account holder of being an alleged promiscuous deadbeat dad.

The account’s name is Amanda Waller with the handle @LilithaB_.

On 2 May, the mysterious ‘Amanda’ posted the following: “PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN. His name is Andile Nebulane, better known as Dali from Generations. He’s a deadbeat that sleeps around, impregnates women and then abandons his children. Sasithe (we said) deadbeats must be named and shamed mos.”

The account continued, “He masquerades as a present father yet he’ll disappear for weeks, leaving his children alone while on drinking sprees. Some of his kids don’t even know what R2 from him looks like…”

‘Amanda’ then brought in Andile’s boss, Generations: The Legacy creator and executive producer, Mfundi Vundla. She asked, “@Mfundivundla are you happy with your employee being an absent father?”

Although Mfundi did not respond, many Twitter users did, taking Andile’s side. One said, “He won’t lose his job if that’s what you are hoping for. Go to maintenance court, many people do, you are no special case.”

Another said, “Naming and shaming him won’t pay for school fees or put food on the table for your kids. U r not the first and certainly not last to take care of ur kids without the ‘deadbeat’ father.”

According to ZiMoja, Andile denied the claims and told them, “Anyone who knows me will tell you how I put family first.” He added, “It’s very brave for a ghost account can be brave enough to say these things. Whoever the person behind the account is should come forward and show their face and make claims with their chest.”

Andile also told the publication that he refuses to let people who do not know him drag his “hard-earned name” through the mud.

He then said, “As much as I am not bothered about what is written about me, it touches a nerve when it has to do with my kids.

“They have been receiving screenshots from friends showing them the post and you can imagine how they feel. This is truly insensitive. Come for me, leave my kids out of it,” he told ZiMoja.

He ended by telling the publication that the allegations are all lies. “…all I care about is protecting my children. I know I am an amazing father.”
