Makhadzi officially exits Open Mic Productions

Makhadzi took to her social media last night to announce her departure from Open Mic production.

The Milandu Bhe hitmaker posted a media statement on her socials with the caption, “Media Statement on my working relationship with Open Mic Productions.”

The media statement reads, ” I, Ndivhudzannyi “Makhadzi” Larivhona  have decided not to renew the contract which was entered between myself and Open Mic productions (PTY) LTD.

” The contract which came into effect in March 2020 came to an end in March 2023, after three years of fruitful and productive working relationship.”

Makhadzi went on to add that there’s no bad blood between her and Open Mic.

She added, “The relationship between myself and Open Mic was like a match made in heaven as it elevated both of us to become top household names in the South African Music industry,”

“I have taken a decision not to renew my contract with Open Mic Productions so I can focus on my own company ‘Makhadzi Entertainment’ and other business ventures.

Makhadzi also stated that through Open Mic production, she got to tour the world and perform in countries like Nigeria, Senegal, Canada, the United Kingdom just to mention a few.

The singer mentioned some of the awards she received while with Open Mic.

She added, ” I also won awards such as Ubuntu Arts and Culture Diplomacy Award, Mzansi Viewer’s Choice Award, Basadi Music Award, AFRIMA, South African Music Award (SAMA), Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award to name a few.”

Makhadzi who acknowledged the short life span of the music industry declared that her departure was also motivated by her need to grow her businesses.

Makhadzi’s followers were delighted to hear the news and showed respect for the manner in which she parted ways with Open Mic.

One user wrote, ” This is amazing mama you’re one of a kind, this is how we part ways with people who made us who we are today. May God bless your new journey @makhadzisa, big love.”

Another user wrote, “A lot of strength in your new professional adventure @makhadzisa may God continue to bless and enlighten you to be full of successes after successes.”

We wish Makhadzi well on this big move and all her future businesses ventures.
