Prince Kaybee offers to remake Yvonne’s song after being mocked

by Unathi Balele

South African DJ and music producer Kabelo Motsamai popularly known as Prince Kaybee is set to remake a song by Yvonne Chaka Chaka whose singing skills were mocked on social media.

Taking to social media, Prince Kaybee says he has desires to remake the song with her, as her team didn’t do well with the editing of the song, he claimed.

“Her team let her down, this was meant to be edited in post, pitch corrected, reverb and the keys needed to be sustained not short quantized like that. Also, because it’s as good as an acapella, assistance with low-octave harmonies are paramount. I want to remake this with her so bad,” the music producer wrote.

The star also admitted that some notes were indeed off however, a reverb would be able to fix this.

No, she is off key in some notes, others are flat. A reverb only is not going to fix this.

Instead of mocking, some tweeps commented with suggestions that the DJ could use to better the song. This is what some of them tweeted:

She just needed reverb on the mic channel I feel she’s going with a more vibey up beat song she has good pitch the vocals are dry because they don’t have reverb but she has great vocals

They could have just preseted the MIC with a solid mixer that connects the mic directly then record live, I mean I have seen mixers with abo reverb, delays and more
