Activities to do for a groovist dropout

At some point, there comes a time when you just don’t want to dance at groove anymore or be in an environment where everyone drinks to get intoxicated.

Especially in the previous years where we have seen fights erupt and people getting caught in the crossfire, random shootings and some even losing themselves in the moment.

You ask yourself if it still makes sense for you to go to groove, if everytime you go it feels like you are not where you want to be.

Sometimes it can be peer pressure and at times you just want to hold on to your groove lifestyle as much as you possibly can. Not wanting to be labeled as boring can indeed make you do all sorts of things you don’t intend to do.

Well, if you are tired of the groove lifestyle and feel like you need to throw in the towel but don’t want to get bored or don’t know what you can occupy your time with. Perhaps this article can give you a few ideas.

According to the New York times, if something has piqued your interest in the past and you couldn’t do it, look for a class to learn more about it. A cooking class, a computer-design class, a painting outing with friends, a make-your-own ceramics store, or a dancing class.

However, this doesn’t limit you to the things you can do. If you’re in South Africa we are fortunate that each province has unlimited activities you can do.

Weekend activities that you can experience according to Travelstart are as follows:

  • You can go strawberry picking, this is an activity that you can do alone or with the family.
  • Do site visits, go to libraries with african history, visit wine farms, and go to local tourist attraction areas for example, Table mountain.
  • Go and spend the day at the game lodge where you will have a game drive and see the Big five.

If you’re more of an adventurer, Nomadasaurus recommends the following:

  • If you’re relatively fit, you can hike the Otter trail in Tsitsikama, the trail takes 5 days and 4 nights of camping under the stars to cover a distance of 28 miles.
  • Snorkel with seahorses in Knysna.
  • Bungee Jump From Bloukrans Bridge, it is located on the border of the Western and Eastern Cape lies the tranquil and majestic Bloukrans River Valley.

For foodies, this one is a no brainer.

  • Visit local restaurants and taste different food from different cultures.
