The biopic series of the late Nkalakhatha hitmaker, Mandoza is set to air on BET channel soon.

It was confirmed earlier last year that the project was still in the writing and developmental stage. The story is now in production for the biopic of the late Kwaito star Mandoza. According to commentator Phil Mphela, this biopic will be a 6-part series produced by Endemol.

The Endemol production team also worked on the late Lebo Mathosa Biopic, although there were mixed reviews from fans and most people not enjoying the series, fans are hopeful for the up and coming Mandoza story.

However, as of yet the production company hasn’t announced the lead actors of this biopic, it was rumoured that Diep City actor Mduduzi Mabaso might take the leading role in playing Mandoza. Fans across social media were in support of the actor saying “he will definitely do a good job.”

Mduduzi Edmund Tshabalala known for his stage name as Mandoza, was a Kwaito superstar who managed to get different races dancing on his long list of bangers including Nkalakatha, Godoba, Phunyuka bemphethe and other collaborative hit songs with Danny K and Tkzee’s Kabelo and Tokollo.

The Kwaito star passed away on the 18th of September 2016 after battling with pharyngeal cancer. Although, the Kwaito star is no longer with us, his music legacy still lives on and his music is still on some radio stations playlist.
