Afro is defined as a naturally thick hair, most black people grow it naturally without using chemicals on their hair.

This hair is referenced to be a crown for black people who embrace and grow it naturally, although it is known to be a crown, maintaining and styling often makes it difficult for most women.

Perhaps before we look into hairstyles we can take a look at easy ways how to maintain it,  According to The South African you can follow this simple routine:

  • Wash your hair at least once a week, water is your best friend.
  • Use a conditioner to prevent knots, specifically made for natural hair .
  • Look for oil treatment thats specifically made for afro hair, this will help with dryness, keep it glossy and hydrated.
