For some the festive season is a time of giving and receiving, many times you will find people looking for charity organizations.

Feeling a bit charitable this festive season? With the help of philanthropic organizations, whether you can afford to or not, there are ways you can give back to the less fortunate this festive season.

According to the Collab foundation, There are a lot of things you can do this festive season, whether as an individual, business or a church. Here are some things you can do if you want to donate your time:

  • Mom starter kits -You can do a baby box for new born babies, which include nappies, baby blankets and essential toiletries.
  • Give your time to support groups to help with emotional stability or help with sports related projects like coaching and life skills.
  • Make sandwiches from your home and give them away to the homeless people on Christmas.
  • Give mentorship to young collective groups of girls or boys.
  • Helping children break the cycle of poverty for example, helping them start home based gardening.
  • If you’re a creative person, help kids do fun activities for example, creating dolls using recycling material.

Should you have extra time, you can visit Save volunteering for what you can do to help, the organisation helps local communities and wildlife. Their commitment is to ensure they offer servises that are based on the needs, priorities and aspirations of communities where they take place.
