The Roll Up hitmaker took to Twitter, where he stated that if Riky Rick was alive he would’ve made it to perform at CottonFest Cape Town. “Ricky would’ve made sure I was on this line up. Just saying,” tweeted Emtee.

Big Xhosa who is a South African rapper has also been snubbed for a performance at CottonFest. While taking to his Twitter page the rapper said that he will build his own since he is not well-liked in the South African hip-hop culture. “SA HIP HOP don’t like me my guy, not even stressed about it..They got a whole bunch of unknown high school skrrr skrrr kids there. But no worries if they don’t invite me to their table I’ll build my own.” He tweeted.

I’ve accepted no matter how much more famous I am or more impactful and popular I am than most people on these line ups I’ll never be part of these things. SA HIP HOP don’t love me man and I gotta accept it. But I love these things they make me go harder. See y’all second half! https://t.co/nbFDspAK96

CottonFest is a festival which celebrates the new wave of music, fashion and lifestyle. CottonFest in Joburg was a massive success which took place in April.

In Cape town, the CottonFest stage will be graced with the return of Anatii, Okmalumkoolkat, Shishiliza, A-Reece, and Blxckie among other new school artists.

After the death of hitmaker Riky Rick, the CottonFest is still living up to what the late rapper wanted it to be and this time around, the concert is heading to Cape Town.
