Why is Justin Bieber’s SA shows cancelled

by Bona staff

Justin Bieber’s large South African fanbase will be shedding tears of heartbreak after the singer’s SA leg of his Justice World Tour was officially cancelled.

As the singer battles his ongoing medical issues, promotion company, Big Concerts, announced in a statement that the Canadian superstar will not be visiting South Africa,

‘Big Concerts and AEG Presents regret to confirm that Justin Bieber’s Justice World Tour South African dates have been cancelled.’

The confirmation comes after the singer announced that he would be taking a break from the tour for a second time to take care of his health. In June, Bieber pushed back the North American leg of his Justice world tour due to Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, a complication of shingles. The 28-year-old megastar revealed that the syndrome had caused him partial facial paralysis.

The award-winning musician was scheduled to perform in Cape Town at the DHL Stadium on Wednesday, September 28 and in Johannesburg at the FNB stadium on Saturday, October 02.

Fans have been advised that they will be fully refunded.

‘All fans that purchased tickets from Ticketmaster will receive a full refund and will be contacted by Ticketmaster directly. Fans do not need to take any action. Please keep an eye on your inbox for further information,’ Big Concerts said.

The singer revealed to his fans earlier this year that he was burdened with Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome.

While his ‘Beliebers’ send out their prayers to him, fans in South Africa can only be left to wonder when he will once more return to the rainbow nation.
