Grand slam champion Serena Williams has made history as the first athlete to make Forbes’ annual list of the World’s Richest Self-Made Women. According to the magazine the star’s fortune is estimated to be $225 million which she made from her career, endorsements and business investments.

Serena, who covers the World’s Richest Self-Made Women history issue, shared how she achieved this amazing feat. She said in part: “I want to be in the infrastructure. I want to be the brand, instead of just being the face.”
